A little bit about me

Sean Barney has had the rare experience of being able to bring his devotion and passion of movie magic to a wide variety of different projects, all while staying true to his entrepreneurial spirit. The projects he has been a part of have been centerpieces of Sundance, the Toronto Film Festival and the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, among many others. As the associate producer on the acclaimed documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil (directed by Sacha Gervasi and winner of an Independent Spirit Award and Emmy Award) Sean was involved through production, post-production and the ground breaking self-distribution of the film. Since then he has worked on the independent feature Henry’s Crime and the Academy Award® nominated film Hitchcock.

Sean recently produced the feature length documentary Off The Floor and the award winning short film The Bridge Partner, based on the short story by Peter S. Beagle and starring Beth Grant, Sharon Lawrence and Robert Forster. As a commercial producer he has worked with clients such as PetSmart, Mattel, Sony, Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti. His work has been recognized with several awards, including First Place at the MoFilm London Film Festival Competition for "Close Up: Cone of Shame" and the Cannes Lions MoFilm Grand Prix and an AICP Showcase nomination for "Coke Zero: Frankencouch". In addition to producing, Sean is also a partner at Midnight Coffee Creative developing websites and mobile apps, as well as a competitive obstacle course racer.
